For any of those who know us, they know that this July was a CRAZY busy month for us. This barn wedding was the first wedding of the final weekend and it was amazing.
Chelsey and Erik were married at Creekside Farm Wedding and Events in Rush City. The wedding is cool in that it’s completely hidden away and just gorgeous. It’s the perfect place for a barn wedding. There is so much to shoot there.
We did their engagement session at Creekside as well, a nice little precursor to a barn wedding. That day was crazy, as we had been in Wisconsin shooting a wedding the prior week, spent a few days there, then did the engagement session on the way home. It looked good on paper, but made for a much longer day than we thought. It made for beautiful photos though and you can’t ask for more than that.
The last time we shot a wedding there, it was literally one hundred degrees colder than the day of Chelsey and Erik’s wedding. So we got to see all the beautiful land this time. Chelsey and Erik are such a cute couple. They’re just two of the nicest people you’d ever meet and we absolutely loved working with them and their loved ones.
Here are some awesome highlights from the day:

Chelsey and Erik had laser cut names for place cards. They were at every single seat. SO COOL.

Chelsey did a small first look with her grandma. It was so cute.

There was an incredible lightning storm that night so the colors of the sky were absolutely beautiful.

Chelsey’s wedding band is the same as mine, except mine is gold and hers is platinum.

The children in this wedding party were such a huge part of the day. They were not shy when it came to getting some of the best photos of the day.

They did a butterfly release after the ceremony.
