Lea and Leah were married on a beautiful day at the Camrose Hill Flower Farm in Stillwater, MN. The two had a really cool type of wedding. It was considered a brunch wedding.
What is a brunch wedding? It may sound pretty self explanatory and it is in a way. When it comes to photography though, it’s a little different. We arrived at the wedding on Sunday at about seven in the morning. That may seem really early, but if you’re doing brunch, the brunch typically starts between 11am and 1pm. Everything before the brunch, such as the ceremony, family photos, first look, and more has to happen prior to that time period. One thing I have heard people say they love about brunch weddings is not only the food, but that they typically leave around 3pm. It leaves them with the rest of the day to do whatever they want, rather than their whole day being taken up by a wedding.
This was back when I still had another job, aside from wedding photography. Kyle didn’t have to work that day. However, after shooting this wedding, I went to work and was there until 3am the next day.
Their many little cakes were made by their family, something I love. I’m a big fan of when the family all gets together and helps with the wedding. These cakes looked amazing too. Leah and Lea were very fun to work with and we wish them all the love and luck in the world.
