Jackie and Jan were married in Mankato, Minnesota at the historic Hubbard House. Technically, they were married in the beautiful garden outside the Hubbard House, but it’s all really the same. The venue is absolutely beautiful and on an overcast day such as theirs, the photos turned out amazing. The two of them booked us through our website rather than meeting with us first, so the first time we met face to face was two weeks before the wedding, which was crazy. It all worked out nicely however, as it always seems to do, and we got to spend a day with the two of them in southern Minnesota.
The day was very emotional for everyone involved. As wedding photographers, we see major emotions every single weekend. We see people laughing, crying, and everything in between. We love when weddings are very family oriented and that is very much what this wedding was.
Some great highlights of the day from our perspective – instead of having the flower girl and ring bearer walk down the aisle, as they were pretty young, they were brought down the aisle in a wagon (see below). It was seriously one of the most adorable things I have ever seen at a wedding, and maybe ever. You will also see in the photos that their dog, Remi, was also a part of the wedding, tux, bowtie, and all.
Thank you to the following people for making this day wonderful (more vendors to come):
