We shot this session last year on one of the brightest and hottest days I have ever experienced. Which was so bizarre because Nicole and Blake did a split engagement session where they did a short one in the winter and a short one in the summer, rather than one regular one. And their winter one was so horribly cold. This was the polar opposite.
We shot at Winehaven Winery, as the two of them are big wine and coffee fans, two big staples of their wedding day. This winery is so beautiful and their staff is amazing. They were so helpful. One thing I remember about this day is we were all sweating like crazy, we were shooting on a steep hill, and while Kyle took photos, I was balancing with a huge reflector. But we got these great photos.
Strangely enough, depsite the heat, we all decided to run to a cute coffee shop, Northwoods Roasterie, after the winery. They couldn’t have been more accomodating there and allowed us to use the whole back room for fun photos.
