April and Brice had a rustic wedding on an incredibly hot Memorial Day weekend. For a weekend that is notoriously rainy, it goes to show that you can never really predict your wedding weather, especially in Minnesota. That was also the case during their engagement session. When we shot their engagement photos, we were at Boom Island Park. It had just rained that day, so there were clouds and the colors looked amazing. Then it started to pour so hard that we had to hide our camera gear under our shirts and run to the cars. And in the end, it doesn’t matter anyway. What matters is how happy you are and these two were two of the most wonderful people we have had the opportunity to work with. We spent the entire day with April and Brice, having this be one of the longer days of our long Memorial Day weekend.
Highlights of the day:
- With a rustic wedding, people often have the theme without really living it. This was not the case in this wedding. Check out Brice’s awesome hat.
- Getting ready with April was a lot of fun. She was just so happy.
- Love the inclusion of the cowboy boots and hat.
Fun fact: we are photographing April’s son’s wedding in 2020. It’s so great to hear from clients again. We just love working with past clients in new stages of their lives.
