We value carefree couples, creating memories, and enjoying the moment

Wedding: Jami and Joe | The Grand Banquet Hall | Stillwater, Minnesota | Minnesota Wedding Photographer

Jami and Joe’s wedding was a great way to end our crazy busy season this year.  They were married at Boom Island Park and then had a reception days later at the Grand Banquet Hall in Stillwater, Minnesota.

When we first met with Jami, she explained the wedding to us. They were originally going to get married at the courthouse and just wanted us to shoot photos of their reception, family and some couple photos for their wedding photography. She asked us if it would be worth it to us to have such a small wedding photography job take over a Saturday in October. I figured it would be, as it’s nice to have a break from ten to thirteen hour days from time to time. I couldn’t have been more right.

As the year went on, she contacted us and told us that their friend had been ordained and that instead of doing a courthouse wedding, they were going to have him officiate a ceremony for them in a park. Because of this, we were then hired to photograph their morning ceremony wedding photography at Boom Island Park in Minneapolis. It was a very chilly fall day. The day was very sunny, much like their engagement session.  The ceremony was witnessed by their friends intermingled with all the fall colors. We spent the remaining hour taking couples’ photos at Boom Island.

That Saturday, we went to their reception in Stillwater, doing family and more couple’s photos around Stillwater. Unbeknownst to all of us, the riverfront was still extremely flooded, so we had to improvise. Since it was later in the day, the light was perfect and we were able to photograph quite a bit for them. The rest of the night was spent at The Grand Banquet Hall dancing and eating their amazing dinner.

Thank you to the following people for making their wedding day(s) so wonderful:
