You’ve heard of high school sweethearts, but how many of us can say we know of junior high sweethearts? Well, that’s just what Makayla and Drew are and their wedding was incredible.

Having known each other since junior high, the two grew up together, sharing many moments in their lives that led to this one – their wedding. Imagine what it would be like to have known your significant other since you were fifteen. Their parents would have known you since you were a kid! They would have known you through so much that they would feel like you were their kid. That’s so awesome! Needless to say, this wedding was super family oriented and everyone was amazing to work with.  You could tell from the moment their day started how in love they were – they were both just lovely to work with.   Their wedding day was the opposite of their cold, winter engagement session.  It was a hot and sunny wedding, one that made everyone happy that it was an indoor wedding.

Here are some fun moments from the day:

• Drew’s fraternity brothers serenaded Makayla after the spotlight dances. And they could SING, too. It was so fun.

• They both smashed cake all over each other’s faces after cutting the cake.

• They had corn hole boards for their guest books.

• Makayla is a chemical engineer. She created a body wash and conditioner for Aveda that we took photos of with her at the salon.
