If you want to do a city shoot, Chicago engagement photography is the way to go.  Why?  When you do Chicago engagement photography, you have the skyline, to start.  It’s absolutely beautiful.

There’s so many spots in the city that look great in photos.  It was unbelievably busy the day we did these photos and it looks like no one was around.  This was the time in our lives when we spent quite a bit of time in Chicago.  We used to have family there (and probably will again in the coming years).  So getting to work out there was a lot of fun.  Kyle knew a lot of these spots, but I knew none of them. We practically got a tour of the city by Theresa and Alain doing this.

This was a pretty cool engagement shoot.  Theresa and Alain were getting married the following year in Minnesota, but at the time lived in Chicago.  Alain is French and actually moved to the US to be with Theresa, which we all found so sweet.  We booked our anniversary trip to Chicago before we booked their wedding and realized that we could do their engagement photos in Chicago for them.  We met up and ran all over the city the weekend of Game Five of the World Series, which was absolutely CRAZY.  It began to rain right after we finished up shooting at the Lincoln Park Zoo and more.

Their wedding was in White Bear Lake and was beautiful.  Very rainy, so if you’re looking for gorgeous rainy wedding photos, here you go. It was an amazing day and we are so happy for them, all these years later.
