These two booked with us after contacting us when we were on the road on the way to another wedding. We met with them and Rachel’s mom on a sunny morning after I had been awake all night and three out of five of us were drinking black coffee at the consultation. We knew we would like the two of them right off the bat. They are both such sweet people and Rachel’s mom was super nice too. We talked about the wedding quite a bit, but then managed to spend a good amount of the consult talking about concerts and sports that Kyle has shot. That was so much fun.

This session was done shortly after we booked with them, due to schedules on their end.  It was on another sunny morning and was beautiful.  The session took place at Lebanon Hills Regional Park in Eagan, a very popular spot for photographers.  Rachel is a Spanish teacher (she has a tattoo of Spain on her wrist, which I just LOVE) and they got engaged in Spain. We ended up getting into the conversation about how awesome Europe is during this session and she brought up the Chefchaouen, which we just have to travel to now.

One thing we just loved about these two is that they were all smiles during the session. We ended up with more candids than posed shots of them because they were just simply so candid. At one point, they asked us if they could skip rather than walk. First of all, when clients ask us if they can do something, of course they can. The photos are theirs. The worst thing that can happen is that it doesn’t transfer well to still photography. Second, skipping looks awesome in photos.

At the end of the session, we were going towards the parking lot. Rachel and I were talking and Ryan and Kyle were ahead of us talking. Ryan decided to surprise Rachel by picking her a flower. It was just the cutest thing and her reaction was so sweet.
