Alma Wedding Photography
I can’t even tell you the amount of times we have driven past Alma. That’s one of the reasons why we were so happy to hear about Doug and Jeremy’s Alma wedding. Alma is a cool little spot in Saint Anthony Main in Minneapolis, Minnesota. If you’ve never been there, it’s a restaurant with a small hotel on top. It’s one of those neat little spots that we are really glad we have now got to see from the inside. It’s also in the area of Saint Anthony Main, which is so gorgeous.
We met Doug and Jeremy in November. They planned on having a small wedding, which we love shooting in the off season. We starting shooting the day at 9am and were done by noon. That’s one of the other fun things about smaller weddings. We get a ton done in such a small amount of time and have the rest of they day left to ourselves. Back to meeting with them, though. The two of them were super easy to talk to and we knew we wanted to work with them right away. Just those great kind of people. One thing I love is that it was very important to them to make sure to include as much of their family in the day as possible. After all these years of shooting weddings, we really like when people say that. They are more focused on their family than things in the day that don’t truly matter, like napkins. It’s just so nice to see. Once they told us they wanted to work with us, we were so excited!
Highlights of the Day
- Morning ceremony – love it
- Winter wedding – also love it
- They had brunch for their food. It was AMAZING.
- Jeremy’s nephew had a tie that was made out of his tie to match. It was so cute.
- Everyone was just so nice. It was wonderful to work with such a great group of people.
- The staff was also just wonderful. If you talk to a vendor, that really makes for a great day. Having a good team makes the day go so well.
