Guthrie Theater Engagement Photos
We have not done Guthrie Theater engagement photos in a while. Usually we are on the other side of the bridge in Saint Anthony. So it was nice to get over here again.
This was such a fun session. Despite it being quite chilly that evening, these two were so much fun. Emma and Blake had booked their August wedding with us only a few weeks prior. They are getting married next year at the Hollywood Theater here in Minneapolis. It was so funny because when they contacted us, I couldn’t place the venue in my head. It sounded familiar. Kyle knew exactly what it was and couldn’t be more excited to possibly work there. So we are really glad they booked us. Not only that, but they are big movie people too, like us. When someone understands what my Laura Palmer framed photo is, I know I’ll get along with them quite well.
We strolled through Gold Medal Park during this session and kept warm in the Guthrie Theater. One of my favorite parts was when I turned around and saw the blue wall. Blake was like, “This is why we got you – I would have never thought to do a photo against a blue wall.” I love that. Because that’s one thing photographers do all the time. We are constantly looking at things that other people don’t see.
We are so excited to be working with them again next summer.
