Monica and Zach were married on a beautiful clear day in Stillwater, Minnesota.  Stillwater is an amazing Minnesota town and the downtown area is very historical looking in nature. Stillwater wedding photography is one of our favorite things in this state. It is beautiful for weddings.  Their reception took place at Oak Glen Golf Course and Event Center, a venue I would highly recommend.
Monica and Zach were such a fun couple to work with.  The two met at the University of Minnesota and were swimmers for the Gophers. We actually shot their engagement session there. They both stand over six feet tall, a fact that was brought up numerous times during their family members’ speeches throughout dinner.  It was great because Monica’s father stated that a requirement for who she would date would be that he would have to be very tall.  I loved that.  Monica is an engineer and everything in their wedding was highly detailed, from the centerpieces to the placeholders, made of trees.
One of our favorite aspects of the photography in this wedding was that we got to do some amazing moonlight photography. It’s nice because it shows that wedding photography can be beautiful, regardless of weather, time, and more.
Highlights of the day include:
- Monica and Zach’s first look. Check it out below. It was so cute!
- Spending hours running all over Stillwater getting Stillwater wedding photography. That city is beautiful.
- Monica’s friends and family had a Polaroid camera during getting ready and got a bunch of great Polaroids.
- We shot our first moonlight photos at this wedding.
