It’s always a treat when couples are allotted the opportunity to have their engagement photography done at their wedding venue.  It allows them to enjoy the venue before the hustle and bustle of the wedding day.  They get to see it in a whole different way.  So when we did Van Dusen engagement photography with Megan and Jeff at the Van Dusen Mansion, we were psyched.

Van Dusen engagement photography is cool.  I’ll just say it.  Getting to do your engagement photos in a historic mansion is awesome.  Plus, it was winter and chilly outside, so this had that whole feeling of being all cuddled up in a big house.  You’ll notice that we included a ton of black and white photos in this post.  We couldn’t help it.  Black and white looks SO good in this mansion.

This blog is being updated in 2023, five years after this shoot.  We shot Megan and Jeff’s beautiful wedding on a very hot summer day.   It was such a fun wedding.  The bridesmaids all called her the Barbie bride and it was really fitting, as they were all dressed in very pink dresses. It was just a ridiculously fun day and we recommend checking it out if you have seen this blog post.
