Ah, Minnehaha Falls engagement photos. Especially in the fall. Throwing a cool fall session into the mix! Oh, we also threw a pumpkin in there too. What’s a fall engagement shoot without a little Halloween thrown in?
This was shot last year just before winter started to roll into Minnesota. As you can tell, it was becoming cold out (see the big coat). This was shot at Minnehaha Falls, which usually can be a challenge due to the mass amount of people there. No one was there that day. So there are some positives to shooting on a very cool day. Huge tip if you want Minnehaha Falls engagement photos – go at sunrise. No one is there. The light is amazing. It’s perfection. Or, as in the case of this time, go when it’s cold.
Minnehaha Falls is a waterfall located in Minnehaha Park. Photographers and couples alike love it. Because who doesn’t love a romantic waterfall?
Trish and Nick were very fun to work with. They both had a great time with us and were total troopers through the cold. If you know anything about Minnehaha Falls, you know there are a lot of stairs too. They had no problem walking back up those stairs after photos with the waterfall. Waterfall photos are just so beautiful when it comes to photos of couples. We love them. We just had so much fun with these two as well!
The two of them found us through their venue, which as a photographer, I love. It means we get to work with an awesome venue again, on top of working with a great couple. We are very excited to be shooting their upcoming wedding this year!
Update: oh, man, it’s been five years since their wedding! It was such a wonderful day. It was also so much warmer.
