Riverwood National Golf Course Wedding: Christine and Mark | Monticello Wedding Photography

Riverwood National Golf Course Wedding

Christine and Mark were married on an unseasonably warm fall day.  The weather has been so weird these last few years.  It was still better than this time last year and made for a beautiful day.

Their wedding day was one that included a bunch of travel.  We started the day with Christine getting ready in Albertville.  Then, we went to Bertram Chain of Lakes for first look and photos.  One may ask why we didn’t just go to the venue.  Well, they were getting married at the beautiful Munsinger Gardens.  However, they were not allowed to take photos at Munsinger Gardens until later in the day.  So we had to improvise.  If you’ve never been to Bertram Chain of Lakes, go.  It’s got walking trails and the lake.  It’s also wonderful for photos.  There was actually a wedding there when we went.  We didn’t interrupt – they were getting ready at the time.

The ceremony took place at Munsinger Gardens and then we traveled to Riverwood National Golf Course for the wedding reception.  We really enjoyed working with everyone there.  The staff was wonderful and the planner, Ursula, was so nice.

We had known Christine for years prior to this through radio work we did.  The two of us met her and Mark for pizza back in the winter of 2023 and booked right away.   Their engagement session was last October and we had so much fun with them.  We shot at Montissipi Park, which we had never been to before.  It was a cool place and was really fun.  The two of them are just really great to work with and their wedding was such a good day.  It was one of those weddings we came out of so happy.

Highlights of the Day

  • They did their first dance right away when the dinner began.  We LOVE this.  Why?  Once your first dance is done, there is really not a lot left on the reception schedule (except for speeches).  That way, you can just enjoy your dinner and  the rest of your night.
  • The garden where they got married was BEAUTIFUL!  We had never been there before, so we were really excited to see it.  It was extremely colorful and there were so many flowers and butterflies.
  • The two of them kept laughing when they were around each other.  We love that.  It shows how much a couple loves each other because they have so much fun together.
  • Again, Christine’s hair is AWESOME.  I’m pretty sure I mentioned this in the engagement photo post.
  • There was so much glitter and sparkles at this wedding.  Her veil and dress were very sparkly.  Even the cupcakes had sparkly frosting, which we had never seen before.
