Essex Park Engagement Photography in Rochester

This was our first time shooting Essex Park engagement photography.  Being based in the Twin Cities, Rochester is not the first place we go to for engagement photography. However, Bernadette and Dmitry are based there.  They asked if we could come down there for the photos.  We were more than happy to take a nice drive that evening to meet up with them.

We had originally “met” with them over a Facetime. It was funny because the two of them were not in the same place either, so it was one of those triple video calls.  It was great to meet them at their session.  They are really fun people and it was easy to get along with them right away.

They visit the park frequently, so they knew of some great spots.  We had not been before, so this was wonderful.  The sunset was gorgeous that night.  It just made for amazing photos.  I mean, seriously, look at these!  They are so gorgeous!  This was the second engagement session we had done that day.  That was after a very busy month as well.  So having the day end like this was lovely.

The two of them let me grab some silly photos at the end that I really wanted to try.  That would be the, laying in the grass photos.  I love those.  It looks like a storybook to me.  They liked them as well and were really open to what we wanted to try.  As a photographer, that’s always so fun.  You don’t want to constantly be doing the same exact thing in any job.

Bernadette and Dmitry will be getting married next year and we are very excited to be working with them again.
