Madison Engagement Photography
I have to say that we absolutely love doing Madison engagement photography in Wisconsin. For those in the know, yes, we are based out of Minnesota. But when we have clients in Wisconsin, we will often times get out to where they live if the schedules work out. This was one of those times.
We took the weekend to chill out at Kyle’s sister’s hobby farm in Wisconsin which helped shorten up the drive to Madison. Plus, it was so calming. It’s so quiet there. While they watched our dogs, we drove to Madison and met up with Rachael and Greg at Tenney Park. So, two things. We had never met Rachael and Greg. We also had never been to Tenney Park. So we were going in completely blind. Now, I don’t know if you have ever had to drive five hours to meet people you don’t know, but it’s interesting. Really all you can do is hope that it all goes well. Plus, it was Mother’s Day weekend, so we were hoping against hope that the park wouldn’t be completely packed.
Things really could not have gone any better. Rachael and Greg were so fun. They were really nice and had a great attitude towards photography. We shot for an hour at the park, walking around to take advantage of the florals. After the park, they wanted to treat us to lunch at Mickey’s Tavern. We also did some photos there because it had a pool table. The two of them had met playing pool in Chicago, so it was fun to incorporate it. Mickey’s Tavern was AWESOME. It had such a cool atmosphere and their food was really good. We took time to get some really fun photos there of them playing pool. Those honestly were my favorite shots of the day. But I’m a sucker for off camera flash photos.
These two will be getting married at Warehouse Winery, a venue we love. After working with them, we feel like that venue will be a great match for them. We can’t wait!
