Confluence Hotel Wedding Photography

We have never shot a Confluence Hotel wedding before. So this was going to be an exciting day. This was also going to be exciting day because we were going to be shooting another wedding in this family. We shot the bride’s sister’s wedding a couple years back. If you are not in the wedding industry, you don’t know the joy of working with people from the same family or friend group again. It’s just awesome. It makes it an easy day because you know what you are going into.

As of writing this, we still have not met Karissa and Ryan together. I mean, obviously we met Karissa at her sister’s wedding. But the two of them live outside Minnesota. So our initial contact was on the phone. Then, being out of town, they opted out of an engagement session. Our final consult was also on the phone. So it’s one of those weddings where we will go in and go, “Okay, where is the bride and where is the groom?”

The two of them were married at the same church her sister got married at. It’s nice because we are familiar with the church. We started at the hotel because they really wanted photos there. I’m personally glad they decided on that option. Churches are pretty, but they can sometimes be limited. Also, couples often really want to have some photos at the venue as well. The hotel had a lot of space to shoot and we then were able to shoot at the church as well.

Highlights of the Day

Again, got to work with the same family again. It’s the best.
The priest that married them had married all the daughters in the family. We find that to be really cool. It’s such an important thing in life and to be the one who performed all those ceremonies is amazing.
Let’s talk about their desert. They had Culvers! It was SO good!!
