Dellwood Wedding Photos

This is the fourth time we have shot a wedding at Dellwood Country Club.  We love shooting Dellwood wedding photos.  If you’ve seen any of our past weddings we have shot there, you know what we’re going to say.  The venue is beautiful, the people are great and the food is SO good.  Seriously, every time we have a couple getting married there, we highly encourage them to get the lunch there.  It’s totally worth it.  To us, having good food at any point in life is awesome.

This was an extra fun wedding because the couple knows one of our past couples.  Not only that, but it was a couple we really had a lot of fun with.  So it was great when Tessa got in touch with us. When we did their engagement photography, our former bride, Ally, was there to handle their dog.  It was such a fun session, despite how very cold it was. We love when the Minnesotans come out on the cold days and have fun regardless of the temps.  It was wonderful seeing Ally again and getting to meet their dog.  We knew we were in for a fun wedding.

The day of the wedding, it was POURING when we were driving there.  When we arrived, it stopped.  As much as I love rain, not a lot of brides share that sentiment, so it was great for them.  We said hello to Tessa and the bridesmaids and they were all laughing and having so much fun.  If there is one thing that any wedding vendor loves, it is that.  You want happy people.

Highlights of the day

• I love this.  The whole day up to the ceremony was very cloudy, rainy to start.  Tessa and her dad walked down the aisle to “Here Comes the Sun” by the Beatles.  When they started walking down the aisle, the sun came out!  It was awesome.
• They put a little toy dog on their wedding cake to represent their dog (obviously).  It was so cute.  Everyone kept mentioning it.
• Tessa’s veil was actually borrowed from our previous bride.
• The two of them are such genuinely happy, fun people.  They were laughing almost the whole day.
