Graduation Photography in Saint Paul, Minnesota
We get asked a lot if we shoot graduation photography. We do, obviously, but we shoot more senior photography.
People often use the terms senior photos and graduation photos interchangeably, but they’re actually a little different. Senior photos are usually taken during a student’s senior year and focus more on capturing their personality. These sessions often include multiple outfits, different locations, and photos that reflect their interests or hobbies.
Graduation photos, on the other hand, are all about celebrating the accomplishment of graduating. They’re typically taken around graduation time and feature the cap and gown, diploma, and all the excitement that comes with reaching such a big milestone. While there’s definitely some overlap between the two, graduation sessions are less about documenting a season of life and more about celebrating everything the graduate has worked so hard to achieve.
That being said, we did graduation photos with Bernadette as she was graduating law school. We shot her wedding last year. So it was so much fun to see not only her, but her husband and their dog again. They are such nice people and it was really cool to get to shoot this milestone for her.
It was so much fun incorporating her dog into these photos. She had her own hat. The school was cool enough to let us photograph inside the law library as well.
