Cloudy Engagement Photos
This engagement session. Originally, it was supposed to be shot weeks prior. But it got rained out. It was a bummer. Then this date came up, the rescheduled one. It was at 7pm. All day, the weather looked fine. Rain came through in the morning, but then it was supposed to be done. Well, I took a nap at 4pm. I woke up at 5pm to Kyle calling me, asking if the session was cancelled. I was like, no, why? To which he says to me, “It’s raining.” Then you’ve got me, half awake without glasses on, completely unaware. I’m suddenly feeling both angry and bad for the couple that it got rained out again.
So we called them, waited until about an hour before the session to call it and changed the location. We landed at Lebanon Hills Regional Park. Everything was good. They weren’t getting the golden hour we all originally planned on. But it was gorgeous regardless. Since it had just rained, the greens and colors were super vibrant. There was almost no one at the park because of the weather. It did start to rain during the session. But it was just a little and we handled it.
Madeline and Mitchell are such relaxed, fun people. They are the clients photographers just wished for. I asked Kyle after the session if he thought we did a good job because it seemed to easy. That’s because everyone involved was just easy to deal with. The two of them are getting married this fall at Genesis Ranch. We haven’t shot there before and are very excited. If it’s going to be anything like this engagement session, it will be a wonderful day.
