I feel like there is nothing better than a summertime wedding.  We have agreed that if we were getting married now, instead of years ago, we would have a summertime wedding.  Why?  Despite the hot weather and mosquitoes, I just LOVE summer receptions.  It’s such a great feeling after a wedding ceremony to hang out in the sun with friends and family.  Even when the sun goes down, it’s so beautiful with that summer air.  Anyway, I digress.. .

This was the first wedding we shot at Glenhaven Events in Farmington, Minnesota.  The venue is a great place.  Whether you have an outdoor or indoor wedding, they know how to handle it and produce an awesome day.  Plus, they have one of my favorite things at a venue – a parking lot!  Yes, if you’re looking for a venue, make sure there is parking for you and your guests.  It’s one of those things people don’t think of right away.  Not too mention the fact that it’s a bit off the beaten path, but not too much.  Because of that, it’s easy access for guests, but it’s also a really chill environment. It is just an ideal spot for weddings.

We met Katie through her mom, who Kyle met at the many Minnesota Wild hockey games he attended.  Katie and Garrett are great people and we loved working with them.  Since this wedding, we have shot several weddings at Glenhaven and are looking forward to many more as the years go by.
