Amber and Tyler were married at Glenhaven Events in Farmington, Minnesota on what I considered to be the first real fall wedding day of the year. It was raining like crazy when the day began. By the time we reached the wedding, it was still a light rain and everyone was hoping for the best. If you had seen Amber and Tyler’s engagement photos, you’d have seen the yellow umbrella in them. You also would see that it rained when we shot those photos. So I felt that it would be a little perfect if it rained on their wedding day too. It just seemed to fit together. The two of them were great about it and by the time that the photos outside started, it wasn’t raining anymore, just chilly. But rainy wedding days are beautiful.
Aside from the weather, the day was so much fun. There were three of our couples there! They had heard about us through Erin and Tim, whose wedding we had shot two years prior. Then, one of Amber’s bridesmaid’s is getting married in 2023 and we are shooting her wedding. That being said, it was pretty emotional realizing that all these people really make our business thrive. We are so thankful for all of them.
Highlights of the day:
– The wedding party! They were SO fun. You know when you click perfectly with the personalities of people? That was the wedding party with us. Our sense of humor was on par with ours, which made the day so easy.
– Amber and Tyler didn’t let the weather get them down. This may sound dumb, but so many people worry so hard about the weather on their wedding day. I get that you don’t want it to rain, but there is also nothing you can do about it. So stop worrying about things you can’t control. And there are a lot of positives about rainy wedding days.
– The ring bearer rode in a little car down the aisle. It was awesome.
– They had the cardboard heads on sticks of Tyler that were brought out during the reception to surprise him. It was hilarious. There were so many photos of those.
– Champagne photos! That’s the photo nerd in me. I love those.

Review from the couple: “Hiring Kyle and Tracy as our photographers was probably the best decision we could have made for our wedding. These two were so fun to work with and made sure we were comfortable and looking our best for each shot. Their vibe matched ours so well that working with them was a blast and the photos have all come back flawless for both the engagement session and the wedding day. 11/10 would recommend them for your wedding and we already have to our friends for theirs next year.”
