Rebecca and Cameron were married on a very warm day at the beautiful Saint Paul Hotel this fall. It was the opposite of their engagement session, which was so cold that no one else was outside. Due to how warm it was, we hid them in the shade a lot during photos, getting a lot of the photos throughout Saint Paul. It was a little crazy because, as we all know, Minnesota is essentially completely under construction right now, and Saint Paul is no exception. Rice Park, where so many couples like to do photos, is experiencing a complete overhaul, so that was not an option, and their construction found its way into the background of a lot of photography by the hotel. So with the heat and the location, we had to get creative.
When the sun went down and everything cooled, we brought them outside for some fun night time photos. I would recommend anyone do this on their wedding day if they can. We were able to get some really fun shots in the city and play around with different lights. I’m still not sure if my favorite part of the day was when we were shooting in the garden at night and a couple walking by said, “Look, there’s a bride and groom in there!” or when a little girl came up and wish them good luck, while getting her photo taken with them.
Overall, it was a lovely day. Cameron and Rebecca are wonderful people and we loved working with them.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this day so much fun:
