These two are awesome. Pretty much 100% of our couples say they mostly want candid engagement photography from us. You know how you get candid photos? Have fun.
We tell all our couples before their engagement shoots to just relax and have fun. Fun breeds candid engagement photography, so relax. After all, they’re engagement photos. They’re not the end of the world; they’re nothing to be stressed out about. Weddings, sure, but engagement photos are a time to have a lot of fun. And these two certainly did just that. They were laughing throughout the session and it was so easy to just keep snapping photos. This was actually supposed to be a sunset session and we didn’t get one, but it didn’t faze them. Plus, the clouds actually looked really amazing.
Laura and Adekunle booked us six months before their wedding, which is cutting it pretty close when it comes to booking a wedding photographer. We had their date open due to a cancellation and couldn’t have picked a better couple to fill the spot. They were married at the Minnesota History Center and we spent the day driving all over Saint Paul with them and their party. It was a wonderful wedding that can be found here. Their candid style carried over to their wedding day as well, which was so wonderful. We love to see couples just be themselves and enjoy their day.
Silly side note: At the end of the session, we were shooting yards from a barrage of kids going to prom and taking their prom photos there. That was so funny.
