Stillwater Wedding Photography
Jessie and Matt were married in a beautiful small Stillwater wedding. Due to all the craziness of 2020, their original September wedding was moved to a small ceremony in August. There were originally going to get married in a park amongst nature. Instead, they had their ceremony outside the William Sauntry Mansion in Stillwater.
They were surrounded by a very small group of their loved ones and it was wonderful. Since they were unable to have everyone they wanted there, they decided to split the wedding into three different days. Not only did we shoot this day, but we will be photographing a small reception in Burnsville for one side of the family, and another in Duluth for the other side of the family. It’s a great way to include everyone in the wedding, even though it’s all split up. We can’t wait to work with them again. The William Sauntry Mansion was absolutely beautiful. Getting to shoot photography for them there and in Duluth is going to make for an incredible variety of wedding photos.
Highlights of the day:
- Jessie’s mom put together all the flowers the night before the wedding.
- Jessie’s grandpa officiated the ceremony. He had a couple fun stories about her.
- A woman on the street in Stillwater accidentally stepped on Jessie’s dress. It didn’t tear, but the woman’s friend just yelled at her for nearly ripping a bride’s dress, while Jessie asked her if she was okay.
- We did a photo of the two of the kissing in the middle of the street. People all around were cheering.
