Irvine Park is one of our new favorite places to shoot photography.  Also, Taylor and Carl are some of our new favorite people to take photos of.

Taylor and Carl know one of our other couples, which is always fun.  We love referral weddings because we get to work with awesome people again.  The two of them are getting married in March, so I wanted to get this blog post up sooner than later.  As I’m sure anyone who follows this blog knows, usually no engagement photography posts go up between about June and November due to the very busy wedding season.  Often, all the fall engagement posts go up during the very cold months.  That’s when this is all I do.

This was a bit of a crazy night, as it was a sunset session and we all know that once the sun goes down, it’s down.  Well, we were halfway there and remembered that we had left a candle burning, so we had to turn around and go back.  Then we had to make a mad dash for Saint Paul.  We then realized that you absolutely cannot park in Irvine Park unless you live there, so we had to all find parking.  After that craziness, the session was actually super fun.

Taylor and Carl are really fun to work with.  They are really easygoing and generally very happy.  When they booked with us, they said they wanted to do some nature and city in their engagement photos.  To fit in the city aspect, we simply walked up the hill to 7th Street.  It was a really beautiful night and we got lots of great shots right in front of Tom Reids.

After the session, Kyle and I were planning on going to dinner.  We couldn’t figure out where to go and then saw the two of them walking back up the hill.  They asked us if we wanted to go to Tom Reid’s with them, so we did.  It was really nice.  We talked wedding stuff and ate pub style food while watching college football.  We can’t wait to work with them again.
