We had been trying to incorporate more Saint Paul engagement photography into our work when we met Erin and Bill.  They made it easy because they were all about Saint Paul.

The cool thing about Saint Paul is how different it looks from spot to spot.  It has a very historical look to it over by the theaters and bodes well to photography.  That makes Saint Paul engagement photography an ideal choice.  Erin and Bill are also super fun to work with.  We met them in Saint Paul for lunch and to discuss wedding photography.  I think we sealed the deal when I randomly muttered a quote from “The Simpsons“.  I do that a lot because I’m a total nerd, but Erin just latched onto it.  Apparently she does the same thing and loves “The Simpsons”.  Our text messages proceeding the lunch were all in gifs of “The Simpsons”.

This engagement session was actually on Labor Day weekend.  We figured it would be very busy, but Saint Paul looked eerily abandoned that day and it was windy as can be.  Wind is not the best thing for photos if you have hair at all.  However, they had fun with it, as you can see.  You have to deal with what you have and it certainly worked out.  We’re incredibly happy to be working with Erin and Bill.  We met with them after they were referred to us from another great couple of ours.  That circle of friends is a LOT of fun.  The two of them were so fun and candid.  They are one of our examples of how easy photography can be if you’re just comfortable with your partner.  Just act like yourselves and trust me, the photos will be awesome.

We are very excited to be photographing their day in the coming year.  They are having a Thursday wedding and we have two other weddings that weekend.  So it’s going to be BUSY.
