We did Saint Anthony Main engagement photos for Aly and Andy for a couple reasons. For one, you really can’t go wrong when you so Saint Anthony Main engagement photos. The area has such character. It’s a lot of fun and there is a ton of variety. One moment, you’re in the city. The next, you’re beside the water. Then, there are alleyways and more that give for an industrial feel. It also has the Stone Arch bridge, although we didn’t utilize that in this shoot.
The second reason was a little more personal. The two of them were supposed to be married in 2020. However, the pandemic pushed that to this year. Due to the uncertainty of it all, the decided to move their wedding to their home this year. It was originally supposed to be at a venue in Saint Anthony Main. Getting photos in the area seemed something to do.
This was shot on a Tuesday morning. It’s an ideal time to shoot in the area, as it’s not super busy. It can be tough to park in the area at busy times, so this was ideal. The super bright sunlight wasn’t the perfect scenario, but we certainly made do with it. There was lots of ducking beneath trees, in alleyways, and more.
Perhaps one of our favorite points of the session was at the very end. We always make sure to ask couples if there is anything they wanted that we didn’t catch. Andy goes, “Can we do a piggyback ride?” Now, we LOVE piggyback rides, but not all couples are into them. And we rarely get a groom that gets excited about the idea. So we were super stoked to do it. The pose made for some adorable photos.
We are very excited to shoot their wedding in almost exactly a month now. We hadn’t got to meet them prior to this session. Due to that, it was just a lot of picturing what they would be like. They were both so nice and we are so happy to start getting our original 2020 couples’ weddings going!!
