People often wonder how you can possibly do Minneapolis winter engagement photos. The first thing people think of winters in Minneapolis is how cold they are. So why would you want to do Minneapolis winter engagement photos when you could do any other season? Well, the photos below are a prime example as to why.  Abby and Tyler are so much fun. We are going to be shooting their wedding this October and are super excited. We already were excited because they were great when we met them. But after doing the engagement photos, we are even more excited. They are just really fun, nice people.
To begin with, this session was a reschedule. Why? Well, because their original date, it dipped to -11 degrees outside. It was miserable. We have had people push through negative temps before, but have since decided we won’t shoot in negative temps. It’s awful for everyone. This was so much better. Although it was chilly out, it was nowhere near that temperature. When we arrived at the session, we were so excited because they both looked AWESOME.
We always tell people to wear what they are most comfortable wearing in photos for these sessions. These two were dressed formally and looked amazing. Plus, Abby had flowers, which add SO much to the photos. Multiple people asked me if they had been married that day. For her second outfit, she switched into traditional Hmong dress and jewelry with Tyler wearing a necklace to match. That was really cool, plus, it was such a change from her original outfit. Total variety for the photos.
Our favorite part of the session was the champagne spray. Abby asked me a few days prior if they could do one and I was like, “Um, YES!” We love those. They make for the best photos. They are also really quick so they don’t eat up a bunch of your time.
Can’t wait to shoot their wedding this October!!
