Minnesota Landscape Arboretum Engagement Photography

This session was the first time we shot Minnesota Landscape Arboretum engagement photography.  It was AMAZING!!

If you are getting your engagement photography done, check out Minnesota Landscape Arboretum engagement photography.  There is a permit fee, but it is totally worth it.  We had shot there before, but it was only in the winter.  As as you know with Minnesota winters, there was so much snow. That, and it was dark at 4pm.  So this was a real treat.

Jen and Andreas booked us sight unseen.  They contacted us, wanted to book us, and did just that.  That was back in August.  So nearly a year later, we are meeting them for the first time.  Much like other couples we meet at the engagement session, they were awesome. We had to drive them around because someone parked across three spots, not allowing both of us to park.  With that, we were able to talk more with them while driving around looking for beautiful shooting spots.  It was not difficult. If you have ever been there, you’ll know that the flowers and greenery are gorgeous.

They are getting married at the end of September, so we will get to photograph them in all the pretty fall colors.  One big highlight of this shoot to me personally was the lilacs.  With lilacs in Minnesota, it always seems you have to race to take photos of them.  They are in bloom for a very shot amount of time.  Getting photos of tons of them was fantastic.  That, and Andreas speaks fluent German.  For those that know me, you know how much I love the German culture and speaking German.

Both of them just had fun with the photography.  It’s so funny to us because the men we shoot so often worry that taking photos is going to be so difficult.  When we hear from them that they had a good time, it’s the best.  Our goal is to make people comfortable.  When people tell us that without prompting, it makes our day.
