Summer maternity photos.  The idea of it just seems REALLY warm, right?  But let’s face it – summer maternity photos are so pretty!

We’re so glad we did these maternity photos.  We originally shot Alisha and Dylan’s wedding.  However, their (original) wedding was in August 2020.  That didn’t happen and got moved to 2021.  After so much moving around, messaging, planning, and replanning, we go to know them quite well.  So well, in fact, that we were the second people they called when they found out they were going to have a baby. That’s right, they called us.  It was so funny because we got the call and were like, “Why are they calling us?”  Once again, we love our clients. They’re just the best.

After photographing their engagement photos, wedding, and photos at the State Fair, this seemed the right course of action.  Luckily for everyone involved, it was a beautiful day that day.  This was after some really brutal humid and hot weather over the last few weeks.  We woke up that morning and it was fifty-seven degrees out.  Everyone was worried it would be too chilly, when in fact, it was perfect.

The session was pretty fun.  Dylan’s daughter was there, so we got to see her for the first time since the wedding.  Their dog was also involved and was so excited to be out and about.  Nothing quite like bringing a dog to Lebanon Hills.  There are always a ton of dogs there.  We’re so excited for them and the new addition to their family!
