Lex and Jake were so sweet to work with. The big thing she said she wanted was open field engagement photos. Fields are REALLY big with people this year. Not sure why, but we get the appeal. Having open field engagement photos give off a romantic vibe. Any literary nerd knows that.
I would say that the desire for engagement photos in a field was achieved. This is a big example of how you can get amazing nature photos in the Midwest. Being Midwest photographers, we so often hear, “There’s nowhere to shoot.” Um, no. There are SO many places to shoot for nature lovers in the Midwest. Minnesota has so many spots just tucked away that many don’t even know of. This was shot at Lebanon Hills Regional Park. We take photos there all the time because it’s a huge place and has so many different looks. With trails, fields, water, and more, it’s a very alluring spot for many people.
They are both so nice. Apparently Jake was really nervous about the shoot, as he made a comment about how comfortable he ended up being. We have mentioned in past sessions how common this is. People get so nervous. There is no need for that. Our big thing is making sure people are comfortable. We will get you there. They also wanted a golden glow sunset. However, Mother Nature had other plans. No problem! Rather than the golden glow sunset, they were gifted that beautiful cotton candy pink sky. We love that look.
The two of them are getting married this winter at Bavaria Downs. How great is that? There will be snow around that gorgeous venue. Add these two to it. It’s going to be an awesome day!
