Shooting engagement photos during the winter in Minneapolis can be tricky?  Why?  Winter in Minneapolis can be brutal.  Luckily, this year we got it a little easier.  Technically, this was our first colder engagement session of the year that included snow.  We since then have been colder in sessions, but hey.

Kelsey and Ashley are great.  The two of them actually work in the wedding industry as well.  So that made for a really fun consult.  We talked about their wedding, but then we all just talked about the industry in general.  You know how that goes if you have ever just sat and went back and forth with people in the same industry as you.  It’s awesome because the two of them are focusing on what is really important to them for their wedding.  Having worked with them, much like us, they can see what they really want and don’t want.

We spent this session down in Saint Anthony Main and then up on the Third Street Bridge.  I had actually never been on that bridge, but Kyle had been.  It was a cool spot to shoot at and one we will be adding to our recommendations.  This was certainly one of those sessions where when they put on jackets and gloves, we were all like “Hooray!”  Winter time snuggle photos are SO cute.  That is honestly what made me like the second half of this better than the first.  They were warm, so they were comfortable and just had fun.

We are really excited to be shooting their wedding in June at Machine Shop.  It’s going to be a great day!
