So, to start with, this was so fun. Maybe it’s the Midwestern in me, but I LOVE cabin engagement photos. Cabin engagement photos have such a cozy vibe to them.
When we met with Alexis and Ryan, we talked about their engagement photography. Alexis had this vision of wearing a red dress in them. Now, anyone that knows me know I just love taking photos of people in red dresses. I don’t know why. It’s just a thing. Red stands out so well. However, people had been telling her that red doesn’t photograph well. This is a prime example of asking the professional you are working with their opinion. Your photographer will tell you if it will look good or not. And guess what? It did.
These two did such an awesome thing for their engagement photography. They decided to rent an Airbnb for the weekend and just take the weekend off. As a result, we booked the engagement session around that. We were able shoot half of the session out in the snow, then the other half inside. We also got to meet their awesome dogs, Karl and Kane. Those dogs were so cool. We also got some great shots with them.
It was just such a fun shoot because we ended up staying and talking with them for practically another thirty minutes afterward. We love when we get clients like that where we can just talk about more than just photography. It was so fun.
We are super excited to be shooting their wedding at Creekside Farm in 2025. It’s a lovely venue and I feel that the two of them will fit in with it so well.
