This is not the first time we have done water engagement photos. We have done them here before and also in Lake Superior. Lots of people don’t believe that, but we have. People love doing them in the summer.
That was the case with Julia and Zach. This was actually a reschedule. On the date we originally had scheduled, it down poured. We’re not talking rain. It POURED. So we moved the date. On this particular date, it was so humid. That kind of humid that feels like you are underwater when you are outside. It was also the first 90 degree day of the summer. So hey, it’s either one or the other. But it was a great day to get in the water.
Julia and Zach booked their wedding with us a few month back. The two of them are such nice people. We had so much fun with them during this session. From what Julia mentioned to me, she seemed to like the look of water and woods. So we got that covered at this session. We get clients sometimes who love the idea of doing water engagement photos. But when it comes down to it, they don’t want to get in the water. Which is totally fine, but it’s so much fun. The candids that came as a result of hopping in the water really were amazing. At the end, I told them that if they wanted to do a splash fight, it’d be awesome. They were all in and one of the photos on here from that is now one of my favorite photos I’ve ever shot.
We are photographing their wedding next summer and are so excited to work with them again!
