Classic Car Family Photos
Never really thought we’d be doing classic car family photos until we got this phone call.
So, we’ve known this family basically forever now. We photographed Becca and Justin’s wedding in Curacao. Then we photographed their reception in Minneapolis. That is where this classic MG first showed up. Then they had their son, Archie, who we photographed numerous times. Well, Becca called me, saying that Archie’s grandpa was planning on giving him the MG when we is older. So they wanted to do a family shoot with Archie, his grandpa and the MG. Who could turn classic car family photos down?
This particular evening was crazy to begin with. We got to Lebanon Hills Regional Park on a Sunday evening. For those that have been there, we planned on parking in the first lot you come to. Not the big one with the visitor center. We get there and it was PACKED. The other one was completely full. We ended up with the last two spots. We finally found out that there was a mass baptism going on in the lake! I had never seen that there before and there were SO many people! There were a number of people that were really upset with us that we got the last spots. Like, legit, pissed off. It was pretty funny letting people know it was a public place and anyone could park there.
To begin with, Archie knows this is going to be his car and will let you know. It’s awesome. We had so much fun shooting photos of him in this car. We then made sure to do some of his and his grandpa. One of our favorite moments was re-enacting the photo we did of Becca and Justin on their wedding day in front of the car. That’s just fun.
These just worked out so well. I love when you get to throw classic cars into a shoot. And getting to do this with such a great family is just icing on the cake.
