Water Street Inn Wedding
Katie and Noah were married on a beautiful day at the Water Street Inn in Stillwater, Minnesota. It was so busy that day. We actually got the last parking spot in the lot and just barely. Someone happened to be leaving when we arrived. Otherwise, we would have had to park blocks away. Stillwater is so busy when it’s pretty outside.
Nestled along the banks of the St. Croix River, the Water Street Inn provided a stunning backdrop for Katie and Noah’s wedding. The Water Street Inn, perched by the St. Croix River, was the perfect venue. It has that historical charm that people love so much about Stillwater. Not only that, but with the river right next to it, it made for beautiful photography.
We first met Katie and Noah on a chilly morning in the winter during their engagement session. It was really cold, but they soldiered through it. Getting married in May in Minnesota, you’re really rolling the dice with the weather. But it was an absolutely gorgeous day. So many of the guests got to hang out on the patio and enjoy the evening after the ceremony. Looking back on this, it’s so hard for me to believe it was in May. The photos make it look more like July or later.
The two of them were such nice people. They were both really relaxed and just fun to work with. All of their family and wedding party were the same. That is something that you hope for when working weddings. One thing that I loved was that the dresses the bridesmaids’ wore matched the colors of the hotel. This was not intentional and just a fun coincidence.
We’d love to shoot another Water Street Inn wedding. Stillwater has such a romantic vibe to it. It’s perfect for weddings and this hotel make it that much better.
