Como Zoo Wedding Photos
Brandia and John were married on a chilly October day. This was not the first time we did Como Zoo wedding photos. However, it was the first time we did a full wedding (ceremony and reception) there. It was so cool!
We started the day at their home in Minneapolis. It was great getting to know everyone in the wedding party and the family members while they did hair and makeup. That is always a fun part of getting ready photos that I don’t think a lot of people take into account. We all get to know each other prior to the really formal photos. That way it’s easier for people to see us a people and not just “the photographers”.
We first met with the two of them last year and did their engagement photos over a year before the wedding. They were both so much fun that day that we could not wait for the wedding. They certainly did not disappoint on the day of the wedding.
Highlights of the Day
- Brandia had a ton of Beauty and the Beast themed stuff at the house that was incorporated into the wedding. The best, in my opinion, was the shoes. They were BEAUTIFUL!!
- They had books on all of their tables in the reception. We just loved that.
- In addition to the books, they had bookmarks with guests’ names on them for place settings.
- Back to the Beauty and the Beast theme, they had the main theme play when the ceremony ended.
