Dellwood Wedding Photography

We have shot Dellwood wedding photography several times, but it’s been a while.  That’s why we were so excited to get back to Dellwood Country Club for Val and Ethan’s wedding!  Well, that and the two of them are really great to work with.

The first time we met Val and Ethan was at their engagement session.  They lived outside of Minnesota at the time.  Like I’ve said before, it’s always so weird meeting people for the first time at the engagement session.  That goes for both us and the couple.  But they were really fun. It was a very chilly day and they made it work. The day before their wedding was very chilly, but their day was lovely.

Everyone was so much fun to work with.  We hope to work with them again because they made the day so fun.  It was the second twelve hour day for us that weekend.  Those can get tough, but when people are fun, it makes it really wonderful and a lot easier.

Highlights of the Day

• Val is really big into Crocs, so she and her bridesmaids wore them all day.  It wasn’t until I was editing these photos that I realized, so did the guys in the wedding as well.
• We got to go to Dellwood Country Club again which is SUCH a beautiful venue.  We love that room.
• Their dance floor was so much fun.  This has really been the year of amazing dance floors. After the parent dances, the couple pulled people from the tables to the dance floor.  Nobody left the floor.  They had so much energy!
• Just as Val started walking down the stairs to get to the aisle, a flock of birds flew over the venue.  It was really cool. I don’t know if she knows it or not.  That’s why there are photos of the birds.
• The food was SO good!  They opted to have the lunch during getting ready made by the venue instead of ordering out.  I would highly recommend it.  But ALL the food was amazing.  They had this huge thing of appetizers for the cocktail hour and the dinner was just so good.  It’s the first wedding in forever where I was too full to try desert.
• We have never seen so many people drink so much coffee at a wedding.  Mainly because there was a chill in the air and it was available early. It was awesome though because the venue had these little cups and it looked all fancy.
