Wayzata Family Photos

This isn’t the first time we have shot Wayzata family photos.  However, it is the first time we have done them at a home versus the beach, park, etc.

Despite what you are seeing in these photos, it was quite cold during this shoot.  The family contacted us after finding us on Google, so we hadn’t meet before.  It was a session that got moved a few times because the family had things come up.  This was shot in the middle of November and I believe the original date was for the middle of October.  The location got changed up a bit and we ended up doing it at their home.

Here’s the funny thing about their home.  Kyle grew up in Golden Valley and had family all over that area.  I did not and really don’t know much about the western suburbs.  So we were driving up to the house when Kyle suddenly realizes that the house is across the street from where his grandma’s house used to be.  Her house is no longer there.  Someone built a bigger house on the land.  It was just crazy when we pulled right up to that neighborhood.  So we had something to talk about and break the ice with a family we hadn’t met prior.

They were SO nice.  They had decorated the house for Christmas early, specifically for this shoot.  Their home is just gorgeous and we were able to set up our studio lights to get some great photos for them.  Then we all ventured into the backyard to get some fun sunset shots for a good mix.  It was really fun and it was great getting to meet such a wonderful family.  It’s a little daunting if you’ve never met before.  You don’t know what you’re in for.  We are super grateful to have worked with them.
