Minneapolis City Senior Photography

We really like shooting Minneapolis city senior photography. Don’t get us wrong, nature is awesome as well.  But we have fewer clients that want the city ones.  So when we get the chance to do city ones, it a fun challenge.

Dawson’s mom hired us after saying that she liked how comfortable people looked in our photos.  Those that have worked with us know that is our main goal.  People get really worried when taking photos.  It’s so strange because I always wonder what they get so worried about.  It’s just taking pictures.  It’s not a huge deal.  But some people make it a big deal.  Our goal is to make people comfortable and to have fun when working with us.  This is especially the case with seniors.  Teenagers often do not want to do photos or they are just doing them for their parents.  So we like them to enjoy themselves as well.

Honestly, I love these photos so much.   Dawson seems like the type of person I would have hung out with in high school.  That is always fun when meeting these seniors.  The majority of the time, we don’t meet them ahead of time.  So if you have some kind of similarity to them, it’s great.

We did this session in Saint Anthony Main in Minneapolis.  It’s awesome for a mix of city and nature feels.  We spent time on the lower trail, capturing the greenery of nature.  Then we went up to the main street with all the cobblestone for a more city feel.  The last few shots we did were in front of the water, which is something all the Minnesotans are keen on.
