Mayowood Stone Barn Wedding Photography

We were SO excited when Beth and Cory contacted us about their wedding. If you have never been to this venue, it is so amazing. We’ve shot there a few times and it’s always so fun. One big thing about this wedding – this is a September wedding and they booked us in July. Same year. That goes to say that no matter what, always inquire. We just happened to have the date open. And again, so happy we got to make it work out for them.

It was such a fun day. Much like many of our other barn weddings this year, it rained during the ceremony. Not only did it rain, there was a thunderstorm. So when we did the ceremony in the beautiful loft, there was thunder outside. I thought that was pretty cool. The rain eased up and there was not only a beautiful sunset, but a double rainbow as well!

This wedding was a lovely start to a double wedding weekend.

Highlights of the Day

They only had one person on each side on their wedding party. We love small wedding parties. Large ones are great too, but it’s just so much less for everyone to deal with when they are small.
Barn weddings are so fun. That’s the Midwesterner in me, lol.
After the storm, there was a double rainbow. A big vibrant one.
Beth had a wedding dress with a corset. I’m a huge fan of corsets, but most people have such a hard time lacing them. Her maid of honor NAILED it. That woman was such a wonderful addition to the day.
