Wedding Ceremony at Como Zoo and Conservatory
Chi and Josh were married on an incredibly rainy day at the Como Zoo and Conservatory in Saint Paul, Minnesota. I’m not kidding. It POURED. It’s so crazy too because the day before and the day after the wedding were beautiful.
These two booked with us a month before their wedding. I know, a month. But if weddings in 2026 have been anything, it has been short notice. Our 2026 weddings have been booked so short notice, it’s crazy. So this didn’t even really surprise me. But they were doing a small ceremony and just wanted family photos and photos of the two of them. Which we have done this same thing a few times at this location. The only thing was, Kyle and I were not both available. They did not mind that. That made this the first wedding that I shot by myself. Which was terribly nerve wrecking, but I could have not picked nicer people to work with the first time around alone.
We got to do the first look in the Sunken Garden after the staff at Como saw us out in the rain and came out and grabbed us. That was amazing. For those that have worked with Como, you know that NEVER happens. They are very strict about using rooms for time rented. So we got really lucky and got to shoot the first look and couples’ photos in there. It was calm and smelled incredible.
Everyone was so wonderful to work with this day. A big thank you to everyone involved from Chi and Josh to their families, their officiant and the staff at Como.
We absolutely love doing weddings at this location. We’ve done them of all sizes here and it’s so much fun. There are two more coming up for us here in 2026 and we can’t wait.
