Heritage Center of Brooklyn Center Wedding
This is our second Heritage Center of Brooklyn Center wedding. The last one was years ago, so we were excited to get back.
We met Cheryl and Jo last year at another wedding we photographed. When we met with them to talk their wedding, they were so much fun. The two of them are in their seventies and they are having the big wedding they always wanted. We love that. There is so much around age when it comes to weddings. So many people assume that if you are older, then it’s just off to the courthouse or another smaller day. That isn’t the case here. These two are doing it all.
They did their engagement photography at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. The photos were actually only done about a month before the wedding. They just wanted some really nice photos together. Well, they got them. The arboretum is beautiful and they were so cute together.
Highlights of the Day:
- THEIR DANCE FLOOR! I know this is the end of the day, but it stood out so much. You have to understand that the average age at this wedding was about sixty. The dance floor was 100% full the whole time. These people danced hard. It was awesome.
- They did a two minute meditation before the ceremony started. I feel like this should happen before every ceremony. It just calms everyone down.
- Their grand nieces and nephews lined either side of the ceremony aisle when they walked down the aisle.
- They had a bagpiper!
- Their first dance was choreographed. It was so cool.
