Como Conservatory Wedding Photography

We have done so much Como Conservatory wedding photography at this point.  We are there at least once a year now.

Frank and Mindy are such fun people.  I know I say that about all our couples, but they all are for different reasons.  When we did the initial consult, it was on the phone.  I’ll never forget it because Kyle usually does phone consults.  He wasn’t available to do it so I bit the bullet.  I consider myself to talk on the phone very poorly because I tend to ramble.  But we had the best conversation and I felt so comfortable with them.  They booked us right away.

We did their engagement session at the Landscape Arboretum.  It would highly recommend that location for any photo session.  It’s gorgeous.  Frank is very much into plants and flowers, which is why they did their engagement photos there.  It’s also why they had their wedding at Como.  One big thing about this wedding that was different than our other Como weddings – they rented out SO much of the venue.  Typically, a couple will just rent out say, just the Covered Porch for the reception. No, they rented out way more so their guests could check out all the different spots.

Highlights of the Day

• Mindy and Frank are just awesome people.  They were so much fun to work with.
• Their wedding was so colorful.  We are really used to seeing a lot of the same colors at weddings.  They did the full rainbow.  It was gorgeous.
• Their kids were at the first look, which was just adorable.
• They didn’t do speeches. Why is that a highlight?  Like the groom said, “No one wants to sit through all that.”  Doing weddings all the time, we see speeches that go on and on.  People get bored.  Here, people ate, drank, and danced.
• Frank’s jackets were so cool!
• Also, Mindy’s dresses were amazing.  I love the style she had for her first dress.
