Gardens of Castle Rock Wedding

Karah and Evon were married at Gardens of Castle Rock on Halloween! No, it was not a Halloween themed wedding. But we are Halloween nerds and love the time of year. So this was fun.

This day was PERFECT for a fall wedding. It was overcast with a slight chill in the air, but not cold. The colors on the trees were so beautiful. Their color palette matched with fall colors and the colors of the trees. So it all blended together so beautifully.

We actually didn’t meet the two them in person until two weeks before the wedding. They booked us over the phone. When that happens, it’s always a little unnerving when you first meet. But they are lovely people. This wedding was our last of the year, so we were very happy to be working with such good people for our last one.

We photographed a wedding at this venue last year, so this was our second one. We really like the venue. We are located in Burnsville, so going to Northfield is easy. Also, it’s the kind of venue where you could photograph all day. Just very pretty and the people working there are great. When we pulled up at their wedding, we were so excited. The flowers were AMAZING! It took me forever to figure this ou. The white flowers hanging from the top of the ceremony site reminded me of the Twilight Breaking Dawn wedding. It was goregous.

Highlights of the Day

- Their little Corgi was a part of the wedding party. He was such a good dog!
- They did private vows after their first look. Karah barely made it through her vows, which was so sweet.
- During the ceremony, they did a Native American blanket ceremony. It was really cool to witness. It’s actually the second one we have shot.
- During the reception, they announced they were going to have a baby. That was so much fun to see.
