The day of Katie and Brandon’s wedding began with a thunderstorm. We woke up that morning to pouring rain, thinking, “Well, I think all the photos are going to be inside today.” It’s not really a problem because if there’s something I love, it’s rainy mansion wedding photos.  SO ROMANTIC.  Luckily, it broke just as Katie was finishing her makeup and we were able to get beautiful shots inside and outside.

We did engagement photos with Katie and Brandon in Saint Anthony about a year prior and it was super sunny and warm out.  This was so similar after the rain broke.

They were married at the Semple Mansion, one of the gorgeous historic mansions hiding in plain sight in Minneapolis. We really liked this mansion because there was a lot of space on the main floor, allowing for a good amount of movement for lots of people during the cocktail hour. The grand staircase was incredible (think “Gone with the Wind”). I’m a sucker for mansion weddings because of that classic beauty and this day was no exception.
