Nicole and Alex came from Nebraska the weekend of their Centennial Lakes Park engagement photography. Initially, they were looking for a woodsy environment for the shoot, but after a lot of back and forth, we settled on this particular park.
Centennial Lakes Park engagement photography is so interesting because it is right in the middle of a busy area of Edina and a lot of people are unaware that it is even there. It is a beautiful spot for photos. What with the trees, water, and bridges, there is so much variety. Case in point – we went over a bridge and ran into a wedding party doing photos. So it is certainly a sought after area.
It was a lovely evening with them. The two were so easy to work with. They both simply had fun together and it made for so much fun. We love that they had both a dressy outfit and a casual. If there is something that we love, it’s when couples go a little extra dressy in engagement photos. Some think it’s just a little too much, but it really adds to them. Plus, you can always have a casual outfit too.
Update: I’m looking back at this session five years after their wedding. It was a warm spring day at Minnesota Horse and Hunt Club. We loved working with them and it’s always nice to look back on these photos.
