This engagement session was actually a reschedule. When you’re looking for golden hour engagement photos, you can’t get much better. For those of you that have worked with us, you know that we rarely reschedule on account of weather, as this is Minnesota and we wouldn’t get stuff done half the time if we did that. In the past eight years, we have only rescheduled three times on account of the weather. Amanda and Charlie’s original engagement session was one of those rare times. The night of their original shoot, the Southern metro (and a fair amount of the rest of the state) was under tornado warnings and watches. I spent a good amount of that night hiding in our basement. So yeah, it was a good time to reschedule.
We’re glad we did, as the new date provided for beautiful light. With golden hour engagement photos, you really hope for awesome light. Well, we got it. We shot at Lebanon Hills Regional Park and let me tell you, there are about a million photographers in that park at sunset during the fall. We met some really great people that night, including our clients, for the first time. It was a really fun shoot and we can’t wait to work with them on their upcoming wedding day!
Update: I’m now looking at this five years after their wedding. I can’t believe it’s been this long since we shot their wedding. The two of them were so fun to work with.
